A Tribute to Bakersfield

We went to Bakersfield this past weekend to visit our old friends there. We had such a blast. I know Bakersfield gets a bad rap alot of the time, well all you Bako people... I am here to correct the world publicly on our blog. You have been misjudged :-) Take it from me, these people know how to love...and yes they have lots and lots of babies (as seen in some of the pics!!!) but they love eachother's kids as their own...and that's rare.
So thanks for housing and hanging out with us this weekend, and for loving us and our kids... we miss you guys!

A Carter Update

If you count the number of videos and pictures of our kids on the blog, at times it may seem like we play favorites. We are really concerned that our son is going to grow up with that freaky 2nd child complex (that his mom knows so well). So we put together a sappy video dedicated solely to the recent progress of our second born. Carter this video is yours. We love you son.

A Couple Weeks Late

Macy sang this to her dad on his Birthday, but unfortunately there is some lag time between recording and posting. Really lag time is just a euphemism for laziness, so Ryan's 27th birthday lives on.

Easter

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume everyone can figure out what we did on Easter, no need for a long explanation... enjoy the pics :-)

Dying Eggs

A huge first for Macy, this was a blast! After Carter went to bed she got to stay up late with mom and dad and make a total mess! To her credit she really tried to use the tiny wire egg handle at first but quickly learned it was much more efficient (and fun!) to shove her whole hand in the mug to grab the egg out! -- A night we won't soon forget, unfortunaley ... so was the next morning. While left to entertain herself as I got ready for church, she climbed on a chair, took each egg from the counter, walked it across the room and threw it into the corner of the stairwell. She repeated this for all 20 eggs and I came downstairs to a pile of colorful shells. Oh what a mess, mama was NOT happy. :-)

We Have Walls!!!

So we drove by the house today, which we do pretty much every day, and were pleasantly surprised to discover that we now have walls. Yeah! So a little photo session seemed in order. Enjoy.

Auntie Bob is Finally Engaged

Well, it's been a long time coming, but the day has finally arrived Auntie Bob and Uncle Clint got engaged last night. Some thought it cruel for Clint to propose on April Fool's Day, but I think he was just trying to give himself an out...in case her answer wasn't what he expected.
