For those of you complaining...I am working on posting pictures! But it's a little hard when your whole life is still in boxes and bags scattered around your car and one room at your in-laws! How bout a little grace? :-)
BUT... I would like to report that the 10th month has been a big month of firsts for Carter-bot (his absolutely STUCK nickname that no one saw coming). At just shy of 10 and a 1/2 months, Carter took his first steps and is now, a short week later, standing himself up to walk down hallways etc! (He's still wobbly but it's pretty impressive!) Video and pics to come.
He also JUST, that's right JUST cut his first tooth with the second on the way...late bloomer much? And finally, we have been having so much fun with words lately as Carter will now say woof woof (to EVERY animal), Wooow! (with great excitement and awe), De-Ter! (Grammy and Poppy's dog Dexter), Uh-Oh and Mama.
What fun :-)

Carter's Dedication

We dedicated Carter at church a couple weeks ago. To be clear, I did not say we 'made Carter a Christian' a couple weeks ago - this really had very little to do with him cuz he had no idea what was going on! But it was really neat to stand upbefore our family and friends and share how we were committed to trusting the Lord with Carter and asking for help in raising him. The tradition at Creekside is to pick a few words that are your prayer for the child your dedicating. We pray passion and conviction for Carter. Not that he would know, or even do the right things, but that he would with sincere passion desire to KNOW Jesus and follow hard after Him. That he would become enthralled with the ways of His God and that it would taint every aspect of who he grows up to be. Considering who his parents are, it's a pretty safe bet Carter (and Macy for that matter) will find themselves passionate and driven towards something; we pray constantly that it would be the heart of God.
